FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to disinfectology, and is intended for skin or mucous membrane disinfection. Method for disinfecting skin or mucous membrane involves applying an antimicrobial composition to skin or mucous membrane of the patient. Antimicrobial composition comprises (a) alcohol, (b) from about 1.5 % to about 15 % by weight of organic acid, (c) from about 0.01 % to about 1 % by weight of paraben, and (d) from about 0.01 % to about 0.2 % by weight of a redox compound.
EFFECT: use of a group of inventions can effectively and quickly destroy microorganisms on the skin and mucous membrane, with a stable antimicrobial effect for a long period of time after its use.
