SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to neurology, and concerns the prediction of the risk of acute ischemic stroke developing in patients not older than 50 years with newly diagnosed hypertension. Gist of the method: such psychological characteristics as levels of vitality and aggression as personality traits, the presence of alexithymia and a stressful condition in anamnesis are determined, and also the state of hemodynamics and the state of the sympathetic/parasympathetic link of regulation are assessed. Using the developed formula, the risk of acute ischemic stroke development in patients not older than 50 years with newly diagnosed hypertension is determined with a prognostic factor greater than (-0.309).

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to predict the risk of acute ischemic stroke developing in patients not older than 50 years with newly diagnosed hypertension, which will allow timely assume preventive measures at a prehospital stage, including psychologists work, and also reduce the risk of acute ischemic stroke developing in this category of patients.
