FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to prediction of stroke in a patient. Presented is a method wherein the following parameters are determined in a patient - men aged 30 to 65 years, working for 5 and more years under conditions of exposure to general vibration: patient's age, length of service under conditions of general vibration, total cholesterol level, regular intake of antihypertensive drugs or absence thereof, presence or absence of smoking factor, values of the above parameters are inserted into the formula below in the following form: age (X1) is indicated in the form of the number of full years spent by the patient; length of service under conditions of action of common vibration (X2) is indicated in form of number of full years of patient's work in specified conditions; concentration of total cholesterol in blood serum (X3) is given in mmol/l; regular administration of hypotensive drugs (X4) is considered as follows: with regular administration of said preparations X4 takes the value "1", in the absence of regular intake - "0", the presence or absence of a smoking factor (X5) in the past medical history is considered as follows: if the patient smoked one or more cigarettes (mouthpiece cigarette) a day for not less than three last months prior to examination, X5 is taken to be equal to "1", if this condition is not observed, X5 is taken equal to "0", calculating probability of stroke in examined by formula , where z (X) = 0.25X1-0.34X2 + 1.2X3-1.5X4 + 1.3X5-9.5 (constant), and if p(X) is equal to or greater than 0.6, the probability of occurrence stroke in this patient is considered to be high.
EFFECT: invention provides sensitivity of method - 80 %, specificity – 76,6 %.
