FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Condom contains self-lubricating coating on one or more of its surfaces, which is made in form of dry powder with particle size of 75–300 microns. Self-lubricating coating becomes slippery when in contact with liquid medium. Method of manufacturing a condom with a self-lubricating coating includes making a dry condom and applying a dry powder of self-lubricating coating to one or more of its surfaces. Invention also relates to use of dry powder, such as xanthan gum, to obtain self-lubricating coating for condom.
EFFECT: obtaining self-lubricating coating for condom.
