SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the zeolite adsorbent preparation for the argon selective isolation from an oxygen-argon mixture. According to a first variant, performing the NaY or ZSM-5 type zeolite modification by ion exchange in a solution of metal salts selected from silver or cerium, and the subsequent reduction of metal ions to metal nanoparticles in distilled water or isopropyl alcohol under the effect of ultrasound. According to a second variant, performing the NaY or ZSM-5 type zeolite modification by nanoparticles of a metal selected from silver or cerium or cobalt, by zeolite contacting with a dispersion of nanoparticles of the corresponding metal in an inverse micellar solution.

EFFECT: invention provides production of the modified zeolite having improved efficiency in the process of the oxygen and argon containing mixture separating.
