FIELD: absorption.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing an adsorbent for the selective adsorption of air components and can be used to produce oxygen for various applications, including medical oxygen or oxygen for aviation. A method for obtaining silver-containing zeolite LSX for the separation of air components is presented, including ion exchange in the Li-form of zeolite LSX for silver cations by keeping zeolite LSX in an aqueous solution of silver nitrate for 2 hours at a temperature of 25°C, subsequent washing with water, drying at 80°C for 15 hours and high temperature treatment at 400°C for 4 hours, characterized in that the ion exchange is carried out from a solution of silver nitrate with a concentration of 17-425 g/l, and the resulting silver-containing zeolite LSX is characterized by high values of nitrogen and argon adsorption selectivity with respect to oxygen KH(N2)/KH(O2) and KH(Ar)/KH(O2), equal to 49.6-51.4 and 1.16-1.90, respectively, which is a criterion for the possibility of obtaining high-purity oxygen during the sorption separation of air components.
EFFECT: invention provides obtaining silver-containing zeolite LSX type with high sorption capacity with respect to nitrogen and with high nitrogen and argon adsorption selectivities in comparison with oxygen, providing high purity oxygen production during sorption separation of air components.
