Method of anorexia treating in an animal comprises administering a composition comprising capromorelin in an amount of from about 1 mg to about 5 mg per kilogram of animal body weight at least once a day. Also disclosed are an oral composition and anr anorexia treating kit, methods for increasing lean muscle mass in an animal or livestock, methods of the growth hormone secretion promoting agent receptors binding with capromorelin in the hypothalamus of the animal, method of liver lipidosis treating and preventing, and a method of animal food intake preserving.

EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to increase food intake to animals by at least 50 % compared to food intake prior to administration, and also to increase the animal body weight due to dry muscle mass by at least 5 % compared to the animal body weight prior to administration.
