SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine and is intended for treatment of pain or inflammation in a non-human animal. Proposed is a pharmaceutical composition for treatment of pain or inflammation in a non-human animal, which, when administered to such animal, provides a dose level of grapiprant of 1 to 10 mg per kilogram of body weight per day and contains a therapeutically effective amount of grapiprant, a surfactant which is from 0.1 to 5 wt. % of the total weight of the composition and at least one excipient. Also a method for treating pain or inflammation in a non-human animal is disclosed.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides effective pain relief without sedation.
