SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the creation of a cordless handset for fixed telephones using a home gateway and a smartphone. For this purpose, there are: a home gateway and a smartphone, between which there is data exchange over IP networks, said home gateway comprises a voice call module, and said smartphone includes a voice terminal unit, the voice call module controls the telephone, connected to the telephone interface of the home gateway, and over IP-networks exchanges data with the telecommunications server, and the voice terminal module also communicates via the IP network with the voice call module for making a telephone connection.
EFFECT: technical result is the possibility of using a smartphone as a cordless handset for a telephone (connected to a home gateway) without adding additional hardware and making an outgoing call and receiving an incoming smartphone call over IP networks.
