FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an ultrasonic flowmeter for measuring fluid flow. Ultrasonic flow meter for measuring fluid flow (1) comprises measuring tube (2) and ultrasonic transducer (3), measuring tube (2) having conversion chamber (4) which is a recess located outside the flow cross section in measuring tube (2), and generates swirls in flow of fluid (1), with ultrasonic transducer (3) in contact with fluid (1) in conversion chamber (4) of measuring tube (2), and ultrasonic transducer (3) has transducer housing (5) with ultrasonic window (8) and conversion element (6), and on end face (7) of transducer body (5) directed inwardly of measuring tube (2) ultrasonic window (8) of transducer housing (5) is provided with cylindrical screen (9) made of a tubular screen and designed to shield the path of the ultrasonic signals from swirls, arising in a fluid flow. Shield (9) is rigidly connected to transducer housing (5) or to ultrasonic window (8) of transducer housing (5), namely, screen (9) and transducer housing (5) or ultrasonic window (8) of converter housing (5) are made as a single unit, or screen (9) is elastically connected to transducer housing (5) or to ultrasonic window (8) of transducer housing (5) by means of notches (11) at base of the screen (9).

EFFECT: technical result is a decrease in the formation of vortices along the measurement path or the influence of vortices on measurements, the absence of a significant effect on the ultrasonic signal, or on the path of propagation of the ultrasonic signal.
