FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to acoustics, in particular to broadband ultrasonic transducers. Broadband ultrasonic transducer contains a piezoelectric cell with a flat working surface, plane parallel side surfaces and electrodes oriented perpendicular to the working surface, applied to the side surfaces. Piezoelement is polarized perpendicular to the electrodes surfaces and is made in the form of a comb with a base of an elongated rectangular plate with a row of different-height and different-width teeth in the form of rectangular oblong plates oriented perpendicular to the base of the comb. Piezoelement holes are made perpendicular to the working surface to the maximum possible depth.
EFFECT: expansion of the transducer frequency band, reduction of the emitted parasitic signals level and increased efficiency of electro-acoustic transformation.
