SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for the preparation of copolymers of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) with perfluoromethylvinylether (PFMVE) intended for the production of elastomeric film materials operating under stringent conditions (under mechanical stresses in contact with corrosive media) in the chemical industry, mechanical engineering, electronics, medicine and other industries. Method comprises the copolymerization of TFE with PFMVE in an aqueous medium in the presence of a perfluorinated emulsifier and a water-soluble radical initiator using feed and feed mixtures of TFE with PFMVE, using a feed mixture of TFE with PFMVE molar ratio (2.2–2.4):1, makeup is carried out with a mixture of TFE with PFMVE molar ratio (3.8–4.2):1 to a consumption of 40–60 % by weight of the total weight of the make-up mixture, after which the feeding is carried out by two mixtures of TFE with PFMVE with the ratio of TFE and PFMVE (4.4–4.8):1 and (5.6–6.0):1 consequently.

EFFECT: increase in the yield of the copolymers obtained in combination with their high quality.
