FIELD: data processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for verifying a customer of a microprocessor card holder with a payment application. In this method: the client device PC / SC is pre-supplied with a reader; in transaction process, mediation program for interaction between the terminal and the payment application is downloaded to the client device; the terminal demands for the telephone number of the client; the PC / SC reader reads the requested telephone number from the payment application using the mediation program and sends it to the terminal; the terminal generates and transmits one-time password to the client device; the received one-time password is entered on the screen form of the client device; using the payment application the difference between the personal identification number (PIN) fixed in relation to the payment application and the entered one-time password is found, difference is transmitted to a terminal on which the bitwise addition acc. to modulo two of indicated differences with one-time password is performed and the result is transferred to the payment application of the microprocessor card for verification.

EFFECT: technical result is to increase the reliability of the cardholder's verification.
