SUBSTANCE: invention relates to information technologies, in particular, to a method for payment by a contactless protocol using a payment device and a POS-terminal. Disclosed is a method of transmitting an additional set of data by a payment device prior to initiating a transaction by a POS-terminal, as a result of which it is possible to determine a special profile of the holder of the payment device and to apply special scenarios for processing a payment transaction by a POS terminal.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency in interaction of payment device and POS-terminal by contactless protocol of interaction.
