FIELD: combined systems for heating and cooling.

SUBSTANCE: device for filling a heat exchange device fixed inside a can for holding food or drink, intended for cooling, and has a compacted adsorbent material therein, with gas under pressure, comprises a cooling tunnel, a source of refrigerant connected to said cooling tunnel, a conveyor bed for receiving a plurality of cans having said heat exchange device, a plurality of gassing head cylinders positioned to simultaneously engage at least a portion of said heat exchange devices to inject a gas under pressure into the heat exchange devices, a source of gas under pressure connected to said plurality of gassing head cylinders, said gassing head cylinders being connected to the heat exchange devices and injecting gas under pressure therein. Method of charging adsorbent material of a heat exchange device comprises: providing a plurality of containers for receiving a food or beverage to be cooled, providing a plurality of heat exchange devices in the form of cans containing a compacted adsorbent material therein, assembling a heat exchange device with each container, inserting the assembled containers into an enclosed area, attaching a source of carbon dioxide gas under pressure to each heat exchange device and continuously injecting gas into said heat exchange device, continuously flowing a refrigerant through said enclosed area to remove heat generated by the exothermic reaction of adsorption of the gas.

EFFECT: use of this group of inventions is simplifies the process of cooling drinks or food.
