FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the field of medicine and is intended for treatment of wounds and/or for use in surgical operations. Antiseptic composition comprises collagen hydrolyzate, one or more pharmaceutically acceptable salts of alginic acid, one or more antiseptics in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier on a water basis, and from about 2 to about 7 % by weight of unithiol and from about 0.3 to about 2 % by weight of dimethylsulfoxide, based on the total weight of the composition. Said antiseptic composition is used as a wound treatment agent by applying it to the wound surface.
EFFECT: use of the group of inventions provides the composition that forms on the wound surface an elastic air-and water-permeable biodegradable film and which has antiseptic, hemostatic, anti-inflammatory, vulnerary and especially analgesic and antitoxic action.
