SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods for controlling the vehicle movement along a predetermined trajectory. In the first method, for controlling the vehicle movement, optical beacons with known coordinates in the vicinity of the trajectory are located, each of beacons comprises two sources of optical radiation with a monochrome radiation spectrum, having different radiation characteristics and located in a specific way. Position of the vehicle on the ground with is determined by using an optical signal receiver, mounted on the vehicle and containing the photosensitive matrix by processing signals from the three beacons in a specific way. In the second method comprises using two optical signal receivers, installed on the vehicle in a specific way, and processing signals from two beacons.

EFFECT: accuracy of determining the vehicle position under adverse operating conditions is ensured.
