FIELD: hydroacoustics.

SUBSTANCE: technical means of positioning various kinds of underwater objects (UO) only on the hydroacoustic channel, which are submerged for a long time and remote hundreds of kilometres from the coast, such escort ships and control stations, including those under the ice. The hydroacoustic synchronized navigation system includes at least two hydroacoustic beacons equipped with broadband low-frequency emitters installed at the shelf depths, and a hydroacoustic transponder installed near the shelf boundary. The receiving module of the underwater object receives signals from hydroacoustic beacons near the axis of the underwater sound channel and includes a hydrophone, a sound velocity meter and a computing device, additionally equipped with a correlation channels unit for compensating the Doppler shift of the carrier frequency of the received signals.

EFFECT: increasing the range of the system, the accuracy of determining the coordinates and the reliability of signal reception.
