GROUND CLAMP Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC H01R4/66

Abstract RU 2649889 C1

FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electric power industry, in particular to spring clamps of portable earths, which are used to ground disconnected wires of overhead electric lines. Clamp contains straps arranged one by one along the other, contact unit, limit stop of earthed wire, terminals for connecting ground wires, and shank end for securing the clamp to insulating handle.

EFFECT: stabilization of transient resistance in contact pair "clamp-ground wire" is carried out by an electrodynamic circuit, which maintains contact forces on one level and changes the geometry of the contact unit in order to increase the number of contact spots, which ultimately allows a dramatic increase in the current carrying capacity of the clamp with its high operational reliability.
