FIELD: electrical communication engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates communication, in particular to the exchange of data and/or transmission of an electrical quantity between two devices by using a USB connection line (universal serial bus). Invention solves the problem of poor data exchange between devices due to the fact that after their connecting via a connecting line, states of the main and subordinate are arbitrary and can not be switched; and it is achieved that the states of the master and subordinate can be switched between two connected devices by activating a corresponding state switching instruction by a user, thereby increasing the convenience of data exchange between devices. State switching method includes receiving a state switching instruction; when the state switching instruction instructs the first device to perform master-subordinate switching, setting the level of the configuration channel pin (CC) in the Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface circuit from high to low by means of a logic controller; and when the state switching instruction instructs the first device to perform the slave-subordinate switching, setting the CC level in the USB interface circuit from low to high level via the logic controller.

EFFECT: present disclosure solves the problem of poor data exchange between devices due to the fact that after connecting them via a connecting line, the states of the master and subordinate are arbitrary and can not be switched; and it is achieved that the states of the master and subordinate can be switched between two connected devices by activating a corresponding state switching instruction by the user, thereby increasing the convenience of data exchange between them.
