FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to jet blast devices placed on aircraft carriers and land aerodromes, and is intended to protect technical personnel and aircraft preparing for take-off aircrafts from high-speed thermal effect by reflecting engine blasts of launching aircrafts. Two-panel jet blast deflector contains heat-resistant plates and a water cooling system and consists of one or more sections, each of which is equipped with drives, the function of which is to lift the flat panel due to the kinematic connection of the drives with cranks and struts. Panel of the deflector is divided into lower and upper panels with a ball joint with the capability to lift the upper panel to an angle different from the angle of the lower panel, by means of movable rods. Rods are connected to the struts and the system of levers, which have a hinge mount to the lower panel with the possibility of movement when moving the struts and intermediate levers, that allows to rotate the L-shaped levers, providing lifting and turning of the upper panel relative to the lower panel due to the kinematic connection with the end levers, which are hinged to the upper panel.
EFFECT: effective reflection of jet high-speed streams is achieved upward without flowing heat flow into the air intakes of the launching aircraft.
