FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used in gears lubricated by magnetic particle method. Lubrication method comprises applying magnetically active powder lubricant by means of a magnetic field to the wearing lateral surfaces of the teeth of gear rings of gear wheels made of ferromagnetic material, and then – after the rotation of the gear rings from the zones of their engagement with the pair gear rings to the zones of application of lubricant on them – blowing of gear rings with compressed air streams directed from one end of each gear ring to the other end of it. Streams are oriented perpendicular to these ends, their directions are located with gaps relative to the circumferences of the bases of these gear rings and are displaced in the direction of the circumference of the tips of the gear rings. And the air used for blowing is taken from inside the transmission housing.
EFFECT: reliability of the gear transmission is increased.
