FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of instrument engineering and is used in the determination of azimuths. Gyrocompass with a visual channel contains a gyroscopic part in the form of a cardan suspension (CS) mounted in a sealed casing, on the frame of which a thermostat containing a gyro unit, tiltmeters, drives of CS axles, electronic devices unit, the personal computer are connected to each other by electric connecting cables, wherein the gyroscopic part is installed on the support device. Distinctive feature is that the gyrocompass contains an autocollimation theodolite, a rod, a theodolite angle sensor (AS), and a gyroscopic part. At that, the gyroscopic part is installed at one end of the rod so that the CS outer axis is rigidly fixed to the rod on one line with its longitudinal axis with the possibility of the CS frame rotating around the longitudinal axis of the rod. At the other end of the rod a theodolite is installed so that the outer axis of the theodolite lies on the same line with the longitudinal axis of the rod. On the rod the theodolite AS and AS of the gyroscopic part are installed, ensuring, respectively, the fixation of the angles of rotation of the theodolite sight pipe and the CS frame relative to the longitudinal axis of the rod. Support device is arranged to position the longitudinal axis of the rod in an upright position; an auto-collimator unit is introduced into electronic devices unit, made with possibility to receive a signal from an autocollimator and transmit a digital signal to a computer.
EFFECT: technical result of the claimed invention is the expansion of the functionality and the improvement of the measurement accuracy due to the transmission of the azimuth vector to the external directional keeper directly without additional devices.
