FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to emergency cooling system of nuclear reactor in the event of possible nuclear power failures associated with the leakage of cooling fluid from the primary circuit of the reactor core cooling system. Cooling system is designed for nuclear reactor located in protective casing, and contains main pipelines of the first, second and auxiliary circuits, stop valves and valves, pipelines of the emergency system. In case of emergency situations related to the rupture or decompression of one or more of the independent pipelines for supplying the coolant for cooling the reactor of the primary coolant system, as well as the breakdown of the main circulating pump, the cooling of the core of the reactor is restored by means of a second circuit by the discharging of coolant by the main feed pump through the pipelines of the emergency system into the first circuit, creating more pressure in the emergency system, which leads to cooling of the reactor and prevents the entry of radioactive elements into the second circuit, and the auxiliary circuit pump restores the necessary volume of the coolant in the condenser.
EFFECT: technical result is to allow the core to be cooled in case of leakage of coolant from the primary circuit of the reactor core cooling system until the reactor is safely shut down or stopped.
