SUBSTANCE: invention relates to system for producing an aromatic compound comprising: first production device synthesizing ammonia, methanol or hydrogen from natural gas; second production device synthesizing an aromatic compound from natural gas by catalytic reaction and feeding a gas mixture mainly comprising unreacted methane and hydrogen as a by-product to a first production device for producing ammonia, methanol or hydrogen; and hydrogen separation unit that generates hydrogen from purge gas generated in the synthesis reaction in the first production device and feeds hydrogen to a second production device for reducing the catalyst used in the catalytic reaction. Invention also relates to a method.
EFFECT: use of the present invention allows to increase the purity of the excess hydrogen in the purge gas.
