FIELD: animal breeding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industrial livestock breeding, namely to keeping cattle on concrete floors, grazing on any type of ground, and is used to protect the ungulate horn of the limbs from abrasion and damage, to prevent injury of cattle on a slippery, frozen ground or barn field. Removable hoof guard for cattle includes a base made of an elastic material and with means for fixing it on the hoof. Base is made of a rigid elastic material with an elasticity modulus of at least 8 MPa in the form of a sole with a recess that follows the perimeter of the lower part of the hoof, and is equipped with a metal plate with holes for attachment to the sole and tread protrusions, which promote adhesion to the floor surface. Means for fixing the sole on the hoof are made in the form of a frame fastener, which consists of a strap for fixing to the animal's shank and several elastic bands, one of which – the main one – is infinite and is designed for placement on the upper part of the hoof, and the other bands – lateral ones – are located symmetrically to the center of the sole, two of them are connected to the strap, sole and main band. Remaining bands are located with the possibility of adhering to the base of the hoof toes.

EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to reduce traumatism of cattle hooves.
