FIELD: measurement; test.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing and measurement techniques. Method includes the samples preparation and marking, securing of the tensile machine clamps, loading, fixing and determining the sample deformation nature and its measurement. Sample is the garment unit, divided into elementary samples in accordance with the loads vectors. To study the unit structure stability, samples of the unit structures are made. Each sample is divided into zones according to the applied loads. Unit elementary sample fixing is made between the clamps of the RT-250 M type tensile machine by the "strip" method, when the elementary sample transverse dimensions are less than the dynamometer clamps width. Deformation characteristics indicators are recorded and taken off the tensile machine corresponding scales at the first visible signs of the unit structure deformation. Unit structure deformation nature is classified according to the following features: sliding of the main fabric threads; lamination of the unit package duplicated layers; destruction of the seam threads; destruction of material along the seam line; rupture of the basic fabric; rupture of one or more unit materials package components (basic fabric, cushioning material, lining, means of the parts connection).

EFFECT: invention allows to study the deformation characteristics of the garment unit structure using the vector application of loads, taking into account of the manufacturing technology and materials package teaming.
