FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device for variable single-color "pump-probe" spectroscopy in the terahertz range contains a tunable frequency source of monochromatic radiation, a first transmission grating and a second transmission grating. Second grating is optically in parallel connected to a luminous flux chopper and a first plane mirror. First plane mirror is connected to the optical delay line of the light beam, the second plane mirror, a focusing lens, a test piece, an open part of the aperture and a radiation detector. Luminous flux chopper is optically connected to third and fourth plane mirrors, the focusing lens, the test piece, and the closed part of the aperture.
EFFECT: technical result consists in shortening the duration of measurements, by eliminating the need of readjustment the elements of the device, and expanding the class of substances under test.
