FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a femtosecond laser-based device for recording amplitude and phase of pulsed THz radiation generated by electron beams of subpicosecond duration, which are generated by an elementary particle accelerator. Proposed femtosecond optoelectronic system for measuring the THz field of pulses comprises a high-power pulsed THz radiation source, based on an electron accelerator, an optical system for delivering THz radiation to a sample, a femtosecond laser emitter with a pulse selector synchronized by pulse repetition rate with a THz radiation source owing to use of a phase-locked loop, an optical delay line which enables to control the relative delay between THz pulses and pulses of a femtosecond emitter, as well as a broad-band THz radiation receiver, sensitive to the value of the electric field of THz pulses transmitted to it and operating due to nonlinear-optical interaction of the detected THz pulses and pulses of a femtosecond emitter. Registration of measurement data, their processing and obtaining of THz spectra of passage of samples is carried out using a computer which controls other subsystems of the system.

EFFECT: possibility of performing measurements using THz spectroscopy with high time resolution owing to recording amplitude and phase transmission spectra of analyzed samples irradiated with pulsed THz radiation of high energy.
