FIELD: drilling of soil and rocks.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of geological prospecting and may be used to search for oil and gas areas of depth. Essence: within the allocated sites, gas survey is performed on the soil layer and geothermal studies. Geothermal studies are carried out synchronously, using a profile system for locating observation points. In this case, the temperatures are fixed in the "here and now" mode simultaneously in two points: in the soil layer at the depth of the sensor immersion and on the surface of the soil at the sensor immersion site. Oil and gas-bearing depth areas are contiguous by temperature anomalies from the average daily (mid-period) temperatures at each metering point. There are coincident positive thermal and hydrocarbon-gas anomalies in the plan.
EFFECT: technical result: the ability to identify oil and gas fields, regardless of the form of the strata (horizons) and their composition, reducing time and labour intensity.
