FIELD: rocketry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of rocketry, in particular to the head radio-transparent radomes of direction-finding ultra-wideband antennas, operating in the ranges of the ultrahigh (UHF) and superhigh (SPF) frequencies, and can be used in the design and manufacture of radio-transparent radomes for self-guided missiles. Preform of the ogival shaped antenna fairing is formed from polytetrafluoroethylene powder by multistage compaction with subsequent radiation modification and machining. Preshaping carried out in three stages. At the first stage, the cylindrical part of the preform is pressed. On the second the average linear part of the preform is formed, on the third the upper spherical. Further, the preform is subjected to radiation modification, and the radome is fixed by machining.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the strength and heat resistance, as well as minimizing the effect on the antenna parameters.
