FIELD: thermoradiation processing of fluoropolymers.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of thermoradiation processing of fluoropolymers, which consists in placing an unsintered fluoropolymer with a fibrillar structure in a thermoradiation chamber, where it is heated to a temperature higher than the first melting temperature of the crystalline phase, but not more than 380°C at a speed of no more than 60°С/h, then it is thermostatically controlled, then the thermoradiation chamber with fluoropolymers is sent to the irradiation zone, preventing the temperature of the polymer from decreasing below the melting point, where the material is treated with ionizing radiation at a temperature from 335 to 380°C in an oxygen-free environment, and the treatment is carried out using an electron accelerator generating ionizing radiation up to an absorbed dose of 0.5-1000 kGy, while during the process of ionizing radiation the temperature of the fluoropolymer is gradually reduced at a rate of 0.001 to 15°C/ 10 kGy, and after treatment the fluoropolymer is subjected to heat treatment by ionizing radiation.
EFFECT: increase in the physical and mechanical properties of the material, ensuring their constancy and programmability of the physical and mechanical characteristics.
