SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used for marine seismic survey. Embodiments of the invention provide methods, systems and a device for saving energy in carrying out bottom seismic data acquisition. Sensor nodes located on the ocean floor may be configured to operate, at the very least, in active mode and inactive mode. When a boat with a seismic source approaches the sensor node, the node can adjust its operating mode from the inactive mode to the active mode. When a boat with a seismic source is no longer near the sensor node, it is possible to return to the inactive mode to save energy.

EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of obtained data.
