SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to compositions of iron-based alloys that can be used in machine building. Iron-based alloy contains, wt%: manganese 3.2–4.0; chromium 1.2–2.0; molybdenum 1.8–2.8; vanadium 0.3–0.5; boron 0.06–0.1; barium 0.001–0.002; copper 2.2–2.6; titanium 0.2–0.3; aluminium 0.75–1.0; rest is iron.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high thermal stability.
