FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrothermy, chemical technology and deep processing of coals and can be used for electrothermal pyrolysis of carbon materials in metallurgical production. Electric calciner contains vertical barrel-shaped calcining chamber, upper and lower electrode, upper conical part of calcining chamber being 1/3 of its total height and being made at angle of 80°, lower conical part is 1/2.5 of the height of calcining chamber and is made at angle of 75°, and middle cylindrical part of calcination chamber is made within 1/4 of its height, lower part of calcination chamber is equipped with four outlets arranged in pairs on both sides relative to lower electrode at angles of imaginary inscribed rectangle with sides equal to 1/2 to 1/3 of base diameter of lower part of calcining chamber, with discharge channels at bottom thereof. Discharge channels are in form of pass-through cooling chambers with spray-type spray nozzles, allowing finished product to leave in continuously stream onto conveyor belt moving with flow rate of finished product.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create continuous-action electrocalciner.
