SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical technology, namely to orthopedic products intended for diseases, injuries (consequence of injuries in auto- and air crashes) of the cervical spine, with congenital myogenic torticollis, after surgical and conservative treatment of the cervical spine in myopathy, poliomyelitis and encephalitis. Head holder is an integral corset provided with a dorsal region, with an occiput, a cramp covering the head and a frontal cuff with a softening pad. Side bars, which are connected to the side tires, are attached to the shoulder straps of the corset. Side bars, side tires, genial rest, cramp covering the head are connected by central screw pairs. Elements of the head holder have longitudinal grooves that allow the head holder to be fixed rigidly vertically with respect to the longitudinal axis of the spine, using screw pairs, and also to adjust the distances of the head holder elements, setting it tightly on the patient. Corset fastening elements are adjustable and located on the front surface of the corset. If necessary, it is possible to take an X-ray of the upper cervical vertebrae during treatment. For this, the head holder is provided with a ring-mouthpiece. Ring-mouthpiece is made of an elastic non-radiocontrast polymer and is used as a disposable article.

EFFECT: method provides a rigid correction of head position, including for taking an x-ray of the upper cervical vertebrae, accurate adjustment of the head holder in case of changes in individual anthropometric parameters of the patient and medical indications during treatment by using structural elements.
