FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a prosthetic-orthopedic device aimed at cervical and dorsal spine muscles unloading and used as a supplement to the exoskeleton of upper limbs in myopathies of a patient sitting in a chair and suffering from chronic progressive neuromuscular diseases, characterized by deformation of the spine because of the muscle weakness, as well as in the form of an independent device in the treatment of the cervical spine pathology, caused by the curvature of its shape because of trauma, anomalies and degenerative-dystrophic processes. Device for compensating the head weight includes a device with elements for fixing on a chair or carrying jacket and a device for fixing on a patient’s head. Device for fixing on a chair or a carrying jacket and device for fixing on a head are connected by removable elastic rods. Device for fixing on a chair or a carrying jacket is configured in the form of a vertical rack hingedly connected to the console platform cinfigured in the form of a frame, which is able to rotate in a vertical plane with respect to the vertical rack and is able to be fixed in the horizontal working position. On the console platform, there are transversal strips which are able to move along the console platform with their subsequent fixation relative to the console platform. Each strip consists of two parts, upper and lower, and has a longitudinal recess to form a groove when connecting the upper and lower parts to accommodate the console platform. Device for fixing on a patient's head is made in the form of a split occipital-chin support, consisting of two parts, back and front, equipped with connection elements. On the lower surface of the transversal strips there are hooks for fixing the upper end of the removable elastic rods, and along the upper contour of the back part, the occipital-chin support there are hooks for fixing the lower end of the removable elastic rods.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of keeping the head in physiological position with the vertical position of the body with the preservation of the possibility of turning the head in the horizontal plane and tilting the head back and forth, necessary for the life of the patient, increased reliability, safety and convenience when used with the provision of motor activity in all physiological planes and reduced load on the spine for patients with myopathies, as well as providing the possibility of compensating the load on the spine and preventing its deformation caused by the muscle weakness while maintaining all the possibilities for movement.
