FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in four-stroke internal combustion engines. Gas distribution mechanism of the four-stroke internal combustion engine contains the opening and closing elements of the opening (1) formed on the engine cylinder sleeve (2) side surface. Opening and closing elements are made in the form of two coaxial ring gates (4) and (5) connected to the camshaft (10), made in the form of a crankshaft. Camshaft (10) is connected to the engine operating crankshaft (13). Coaxial ring gates (4), (5) are installed outside the sleeve (2) and connected to the camshaft (10) by side rods (9). Side rod (9) neck (11) of the outer ring gate (4) is rotated about 90° around the camshaft (10) axis relative to the side rod (9) neck (12) of the inner ring gate (5). Along the inner ring gate (5) entire perimeter, in its lower part, one row of openings (8) is made. At the half of the outer ring gate (4) perimeter, the lower row of openings (6) is made. On the second half of the outer ring gate (4) perimeter, the upper row of openings (7) is made.
EFFECT: technical result consists in simplifying of the gas distribution mechanism design and reducing engine power losses for the gas distribution mechanism actuation.
