FIELD: nanotechnologies.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nanotechnology. For carbon nanotubes obtainig, apparatus is used, which includes working mixture forming unit 2, containing means for producing nanoparticles of substance comprising catalyst, reaction chamber 1, equipped with inlet for working mixture 2 and outlet 4 for off-gases, means for cooling exhaust gases, and filter 5 for separating carbon nanotubes 6 from off-gases. Carbon nanotubes of 0.5 mcm in length are deposited on filter 5, after which compressor 8 is installed to compress portion of off-gases 7 containing carbon nanotubes of up to 0.5 mcm in length and heater 9. Other part of 10 off-gases is released into atmosphere. Working mixture 2 with temperature of 300–1400 is introduced into reaction chamber 1 °C, including gaseous hydrocarbons, buffer gas and nanoparticles containing catalyst substance, average size of which does not exceed 10 nm. Working mixture speed 2 in reaction chamber 1 is not less than 20 m/s. Buffer gas contains hydrogen, or nitrogen, or mixture thereof.

EFFECT: technical result: increase in yield of desired product.
