FIELD: audio equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to encoding and decoding audio signals. Decoder comprises input audio signal receiving interface (110) comprising a plurality of audio object signals to receive loudness information about audio object signals and reproduction information indicating whether one or more of the audio object signals should be amplified or attenuated. Decoder comprises signal processor (120) for generating the said one or more audio output channels of the audio output signal. Signal processor (120) is configured able to determine the volume compensation value depending on the volume information and depending on the playback information. Signal processor (120) is configured able to generate the said one or more output audio channels of the audio output signal from the audio input signal depending on the playback information and depending on the volume compensation value.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to improve the efficiency of encoding, processing and decoding audio signals.
