FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a mist eliminator with a vortex contact device and can be used in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, metallurgical, mining and processing industries and thermal power for the purification of gaseous emissions. Mist eliminator includes a housing, tangentially located inlet nozzle 1 of gas phase, outlet nozzle 2 of gas phase, inlet 3 and outlet 4 nozzles of liquid phase, inlet 5 and outlet 6 nozzles of the circulating fluid. Housing is divided by plate 7 into upper 8 and lower 11 chambers. Filter element 9 in the upper chamber is attached to top plate 10. In the lower chamber is located vortex contact device 12. Inside the bottom of the vortex contact device, truncated cone 14 is installed to form a gas flow. Inside lower chamber 8 there is cone-distributor 15 with holes for uniform distribution of the gas flow.

EFFECT: high efficiency of operation of the device, reliability of operation at any ratios of the contacting phases and the possibility of maintenance in a wide range of stable operation of the device.
