FIELD: treatment of water, industrial and household waste water.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in industrial enterprises having biological treatment facilities, as well as in sewage systems of housing and communal services and aeration stations. Method of treating active sludge and waste water sediments involves condensation, dehydration, drying or disinfection. Prior to dehydration, activated sludge and sewage sludge are subjected to modification together with wood-and-vegetal materials or wastes thereof in the field of mechanical and high-frequency hydrodynamic pulsating oscillations to produce cellulose fibres: long fibres with fibre size of 0.1÷1.0 mm and short ones with fibre size less than 0.05 mm.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to intensify water loss, to increase efficiency of processes of dehydration, drying or disinfection at minimum power inputs, and also to increase quantity of final products received from active sludge and sewage sludge.
