FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to meteorological instrumentation and is intended to predict limited landing visibility caused by blinding sun set low above the horizon, effecting on the aircraft (AC) crew during landing (take-off). For this, the system comprises: - brightness sensor (1), the space angle of the receiving device of which strictly corresponds to the value of the main brightness maximum of the sky - solar aureole; - threshold brightness unit (2), intended for comparison of the measured brightness value with the upper limit value of the brightness of the observed surface of normal operator activity; - tracking subsystem (3); - logic unit (4); - information unit (5), through which the prediction information on time and duration of limited landing visibility course of reduced visibility is communicated to the AC crews and air traffic personnel (ATP). System comprises: - tracking subsystem (3), providing movement of the central optical axis of the brightness sensor exactly along motion path (8) of solar disk (6) center over the sky during the light day; - logic unit (4) providing delivery, by the executive mechanisms of the tracking device, instructions on movement of the central optical axis of the brightness sensor along the segment of the daily trajectory of the solar disk center along the sky, as well as delivery of a signal about the intersection of the fields of view of the brightness sensor and virtual sector determined by the space angle of the AC crew view field during landing (9), which is the most susceptible to the blinding effect of increased brightness, to the information unit.

EFFECT: technical result is expansion of functional capabilities.
