FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining, namely to airing quarries, and can be used to intensify air exchange in quarry space, purification of air. Method of ventilation of quarries by organizing air exchange of quarry atmosphere by passing air through water curtain with help of water sources. Quarry atmosphere air exchange is organized by controlling water flow from tanks. Located on leeward side of quarry at its upper edge with pitch between capacitors equal to 0.3-0.5 times of container length, and discharging injected air through conical socket of air ducts located in containers. In this case, opening angle of water jet is determined from following relationship:

, where S is distance between funnels; α - angle of jet opening, equal to opening angle of conical funnels placed on upper edge of air duct; r - smaller radius of socket for supplying compressed air to tank; β - angle of inclination of water jet boundary relative to horizontal surface; h is triangle height formed by upper edge segment of air duct and sides of adjacent conical sockets.

EFFECT: technical result is to improve ventilation of quarry due to intensification of natural air exchange.
