FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry and can be used for intensification of natural ventilation of pit. Proposed ventilation method comprises erection of ventilation duct onboard to communicate mined pit space with ambient atmosphere. Creation of natural draft in the channel due to wind pressure and air temperature difference inside and outside the channel, movement of contaminated air along the channel outside the open pit. Open pit in summer is carried out due to difference of temperatures of quarry water and air passing through ventilation channel, installed on board of pit with height, by 10–20 % higher than depth of lower boundary of free air jet, wherein quarry water is removed to the surface along the bypass channel. Quarrying of open-pit in winter time is carried out due to temperature difference inside and outside the channel at supply of quarry water into water jacket installed in upper part of ventilation channel.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of natural ventilation.
