FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining, in particular to the quarries ventilation, and can be used to intensify air exchange in the quarry space and protect the air basin against pollution. According to the method, performing the air injection by the natural wind currents directing through equipped with a flaring pipe. At that, placing the pipe in the pit wall upper part at an angle equal to the pit slope angle, on which it is located, with the flaring length (L) from 2 to 10 m and its input opening diameter from 5 to 25 m. Sufficient for ventilation wind flow speed is determined by the formula:

where: ϑm is the wind speed in the flaring final section; ϑo is the of the wind flow speed in the flaring initial section, equal to the wind speed on the earth's surface; βo is the coefficient taking into account the change in the air movement amount in the flaring initial section, βo=1.1÷1.2; α is the jet structure coefficient, α=0.07–0.63; x is the distance to the section, in which the jet velocity is determined (in our case, x=L); D0 is the jet initial cross section diameter, equal to the flaring input opening diameter, at that, the jet range at the pipe outlet is determined by the formula:

where: Lc is the jet range at the pipe outlet; D is the pipe diameter, equal to the flaring diameter in the final section; Uk is the jet speed in its final section, for calculation Uk=0.15÷0.25 m/s is used, the minimum allowable speed of air currents, performing the mine workings ventilation; U0 is the jet speed at the pipe outlet, equal to ϑm.
EFFECT: technical result consists in the wind flows intensification, providing the quarry ventilation, and in the reduction of the recirculation zone volume in deep and ultra-deep quarries.
