FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: mechanical gauge includes a housing with the upper and lower connecting couplings and calibrating elements with stops positioned on its outer surface for axial movement. The housing below the upper coupling is provided with a cone expanding upwards, and above the lower coupling there is thread, on which the adjusting nut is placed. Outside the housing there is a sleeve with ports opposite to the cone pressed upwards from the adjusting nut by the spring. The calibrating elements are made in the form of ring segments rigidly connected to the stops and inserted into the ports of the sleeve for movement inside due to the stops and interaction with the cone from the inside. The ports of the sleeve are uniformly distributed around the perimeter. The ports of the sleeve are uniformly distributed around the perimeter.
EFFECT: proposed design of the mechanical gauge is light and advanced, it enables to run on a rope or cable and automatically exclude clamping without heavy loads.
