FIELD: radio engineering and communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, particularly to radio monitoring systems for determining the position of radio-frequency emission sources (PRFES) of the VHF-microwave bands, of both digital and analog types of communication, information about which is not available in the database (for example, of the state radio frequency service). Basis of the method is the correlation principle, which consists in repeatedly measuring of the field strength of the sought RFS and bearing onto it, using the radio control post (RCP) with the log-periodic rotary antenna system (LRAS) and calculating the root-mean-square deviation of the bearing, setting the location coordinates of n virtual posts (VP LOC), at a distance of several angular minutes from the RCP LOC, around the bearing beam from the RCP to the RFS in the sector of the tripled root-mean-square deviation of the bearing to the RFS, increasing the distances between the VP and approximating their locations (VP LOC) to the ray from the RCP at the RFS, as they move away from the RCP, calibrating the method, for this purpose making a list of q base REEs using the data base of the RCP, located in the same sector of the tripled root-mean-square deviation of the bearing to the RFS, calculating the field strength generated at the n VPs and RCPs location by each of the q base REEs according to their list, and redefining each of the q base RESs location coordinates, for which: setting the TP (xi, yi, zi) test point coordinates, which is the current possible location of the sought RFS, creating a set of difference functions fij=(αij-βji) ratios (FRE) of the distance Ri(xi, yi, zi) from the i-th position of the TP to the RCP to the distance Rj(xj, yj, zj) from the TP same position to the VPj or the ratios of the distances from the TP i-th position to the VPj in any combination of them and calculated, corresponding, but inverse, ratios of the field strengths E, creating a set of multiplicative functions (MPF) ƒifj1fj2..fjn in the form of a sum of even and odd MPF, obtaining the equations of functionals from it as equated to zero, first local derivatives of even MPFs and second local derivatives of odd MPFs for each of the required RFS coordinates, solving them numerically, changing the of each of the TP coordinates value with its other two constant values and finding the extremum points of the functionals as basic REE redefined coordinates, and then obtaining by them the calibration characteristics (CC), for each RCP/VPj pair by longitude (CCLD) latitude (CCLT) and altitude (CCAL) as a function of the difference between the calculated and true coordinates of the base REEs from the calculated coordinates, determining the correlation dependence between the RCP LOC and the VPj LOC by field strength (FST), calculating the field strength value of the sought RFS by the average value measured at the RCP and FST of the corresponding VPj, field strength value of the sought RFS on each VPj, creating FPE sets for the sought RFS, MPF sets, equations of the even and odd MPF functionals, and finding from the latter similarly to redefinition of the basic REEs coordinates, TP(xi, yi, zi) position coordinates, corresponding to these functionals extremum points as points with the RSE LOC, correcting them by the corresponding CC and fixing them as the final RSE LOC.
EFFECT: position of radio-frequency emission sources definition by one RCP.
