FIELD: radio engineering and communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of radio engineering, namely to radio monitoring systems for determining the location of radio emission sources. Method is based on the use of measurements by means of mobile radio monitoring stations of signal level values at each of the assigned frequencies in at least three points of space and on the transformation into multiplicative functions of the differences in their inverse relations and the differences in the ratio of the calculated distances from the measurement points up to the sample point of the assumed location of the radio-frequency source. Dichotomous method is proposed in order to handle the compiled multiplicative functions of these differences of relations. Method is based on the principle of consecutive determination of parameters of the position of the radio-frequency source: latitude – Xi, longitude – Yi and height – Zi according to the criterion of finding the minimum differences in the ratio of the distances of the location of the radio-frequency sources to the measurement points that are not located on the same straight line, and the corresponding inverse ratios of the values of the measured signal levels. Method is implemented by means of performing certain calculations.
EFFECT: determination of the spatial coordinates of the location of stationary radio-frequency sources (RFS) by two mobile stations (on any transport base: automobile, helicopter, ship), one of which is taken as the basic, simple method without involving the equations of the position lines.
