SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method and device for preparing a beverage from a solvent and ingredients. Device comprises: a solvent holding tank, a containment filter for the ingredients, a first system adapted to receive a first position for delivering the solvent in the strainer from said container and a second position for delivering the solvent in the strainer to said container. Present device makes it possible to prepare the beverage from the solvent and ingredients by performing a preliminary washing step of the ingredients, which is carried out in a way that is simple for the user.
EFFECT: this device allows the user to control easily the flushing of ingredients over time, the amount of water and so on, that minimizes the loss of useful elements (for example, catechins in tea) during the washing-out of the ingredients.
